Why A-Frame?

The A-frame form isn't just aesthetically striking — it's functionally brilliant for mountain environments. The steeply pitched roof naturally sheds snow, reducing structural load and heat loss. The triangular cross-section maximizes interior volume while minimizing exterior surface area, meaning less heat escapes in winter.

Materials and Sourcing

Every timber beam in our chalets was sourced from sustainably managed forests within 80km of Bjelašnica. We worked with a local sawmill to select and cure the wood — a process that took 14 months before construction began.

The stone used for foundations and outdoor terracing comes from a quarry 12km away, matching the geological character of the mountain itself.
