The Zipline Experience
The zipline begins at a launch platform on the valley ridge, giving you a full view of the 1,700 m cable disappearing into the valley below before you step off. The acceleration is immediate: within the first 3 seconds you're moving faster than a car on a motorway. The middle section, where the gradient is steepest and speed peaks at 120 km/h, is pure sensory overload — wind, altitude, movement. The final third slows as the cable angle eases, giving you time to take in the forest canopy and the valley spreading below. From launch to landing: approximately 90 seconds. From landing to wanting to go again: approximately 0 seconds.
Safety, Minimum Requirements & Booking
The zipline is operated by a certified adventure sports company with a clean safety record across thousands of rides. Minimum age is 12 years (with parental consent required under 16). Weight range: 40–120 kg. Riders are fitted with full harness, helmet and gloves before briefing. The ride takes place regardless of light cloud — only heavy rain or electrical storms cause cancellation, in which case full refunds are issued. Booking at least 24–48 hours in advance is strongly recommended in July and August (peak season). Our chalet team can arrange transport and booking coordination.
Combine with Canyoning for the Ultimate Adventure Day
The optimal Bjelašnica adventure day combines the zipline with a morning canyoning descent in the Rakitnica Canyon. Depart the chalet at 7:30 AM for the canyon, emerge around 2 PM, rest and lunch at the chalet, then transfer to the zipline at 4 PM for a golden-hour flight. Our team coordinates both bookings and transport. It is, by consensus of our guests, the best single day in Bosnia.

Many of our guests who describe themselves as afraid of heights have done the zipline and loved it. The launch is quick, and the sensation of speed is so overwhelming that most people forget to be afraid. That said, it's your call — no pressure.
